About not Fitting

A parable,
written by a man
whose name means
‘hard, protective enclosure’
like to hide inside,
under a rain barrel
and wait for the
storm to pass,
is about fitting
and wholeness;
about a sliver
unable to find
a crack in an
otherwise, complete being
To hide inside
and make believe
that two together
can be one whole
It’s about learning
to roll and shape
and bond and change,
about finding ‘roundness’
in yourself and tumbling
with yourself and
other acrobats who
have shaped and
changed until they
roll and find instead
of staying and searching.
It is a parable,
written by a man whose
name also describes
the action of the
protective enclosure
breaking off
